Today is Blue Monday, supposedly the saddest day of the year due to post-Christmas blues, cold dark nights and unpaid bills.
January can be a difficult time for those who have suffered a loss. As part of the care we offer, our Family Services Team and bereavement counsellors are here to support those going through a tough time.
Here are a few of our top tips to brighten up your Blue Monday:
🏋️♀️ Start something new and motivating – you could set yourself a new challenge, start volunteering, join a club or go to the gym.
🤳 Spend a little less time on social media – we all love it, but it's not always great for your mental health.
🍲 Cook yourself a nice meal – evidence suggests that eating a well-balanced diet may be associated with feelings of wellbeing.
🛀 Have a hot bath or enjoy a pamper evening – this can be a great way to relax and forget about your worries!
