This week has been Student Volunteering Week 👏🏻
We chatted to Leo who volunteers on our IPU Reception on a Saturday evening, which he says works well alongside his college work.
"I decided to volunteer for St Barnabas because I felt it would be a good way to gain experience interacting with the public. I also chose to volunteer in a clinical setting as it is my goal to become a doctor.
"I have only done a few shifts but I enjoy getting to know the patients and chatting to nurses and other reception staff; even after a few sessions I feel like a part of the team. I am really enjoying giving something back to an amazing charity."
