The Mayor of Worthing made a pack of new friends after he welcomed the 1st Durrington Cubs to Worthing Town Hall.
Cllr Paul Baker and his wife Sandra hosted the youngsters in the council chamber and explained a little more about his role.
In what was a lovely touch, the group wrote to the Mayor after the event and thanked him for a “fantastic evening”.
They added: “We found your explanations very interesting and we could not believe our ears when you started a debate about video games! You made many friends on the visit.”
After wishing the mayor well for the next year, the letter was then signed by all the youngsters. Lovely!
