The Bradbury Centre’s ‘ Time Out For Carers’ service welcomed a group of music students from University of Chichester to work with service users, supporting and entertaining them. They had prepared activities to engage and stimulate, interspersing it with dance and song. The service users had a fantastic time and to see how well they connected with everyone, making time for the differing needs and making people feel special was a joy to watch. The young students had clearly given great thought on how best to work with ladies and gentlemen with dementia.
Applause rang out at the end of 2 hours the group were asked if they could come back again. The service users love having young people around and this group brought a smile to everyone’s faces.
