Stage one of ‘Where the Wild Flowers Grow’ is now complete, as the last of the community planting events took place at Hamble Recreation Ground in Lancing yesterday… 🌼🌸🌹
‘Where the Wild Flowers Grow’ is the Councils’ record flower sowing programme which will splash Adur and Worthing with bursts of colour – including World War One memorial displays which will be rich with poppies.
You were invited to help our parks team with the community project by sowing seed mixes across a variety of locations in Adur and Worthing.
The honey mix pictured below was used at wildflower sites such as Worthing’s Brooklands Park, where it will provide rich nectar sources for our pollinating bees and other insects whilst also producing a vibrant display of colour.
