Shoreham Air Show crash pilot appears in court


Andrew Hill, the pilot of the Hawker Hunter jet that crashed at the Shoreham Air Show on 22 August, 2015, killing 11 people has appeared at court charged with 11 counts of manslaughter by gross negligence.

Hill, 54, of Standon Road, Buntingford, Hertfordshire, who is also charged with endangering an aircraft, contrary to Article 137 of the Air Navigation Order 2009, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (19 April).

He entered a not guilty plea for all charges.

He was released on bail to appear at the next hearing at the Old Bailey court on May 17.
