Scammers are becoming more prevalent and sophisticated. They may call you and claim to be from a police force telling you that there has been a fraudulent payment on your card which needs investigating.
They may even say they have someone in custody with bank cards in your name or even go onto say they need your card details including the three numbers on the reverse.
🚨 The police or your bank will NEVER ask for your bank details or your PIN number
🚨 NEVER share your PIN with anyone
🚨 NEVER hand your bank card or any goods you have purchased as a result of a phone call to anyone who comes to your front door
🚨 If they ask you to call the number on the back of your card – Don’t! but if you do, always use a different phone
If you think you’ve been the victim of this scam call the police on 101 or report it to http://orlo.uk/OTS0V
