Plans to create more than 70 flats in Shoreham town centre have been formally submitted to Adur District Council.
The proposal, submitted by Southern Housing Group (SHG), is to demolish their existing block of 40 flats at Mannings in Surry Street, and replace it with a larger building of 74 one to three bedroom flats providing a mixture of shared ownership and affordable rented homes.
It follows a period of consultation by SHG with existing residents, including a workshop event and a pre-planning public exhibition.
Neighbours will be notified of the proposal this week and comments are invited by September 17 ahead of Adur District Council's Planning Committee making a decision later in the autumn.
