Niki Evans (pictured right) is playing the Wicked Queen in Worthing Theatres Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, coming this winter.
Niki has been very successful since her X Factor appearance in 2007 which put her in the spotlight. She has explored many sectors of entertainment; performing alongside other big names such as John Barrowman; signing with Libedo Records; and also appearing on British chat shows.
Niki said that she was never really drawn towards doing pantomime, but there were three factors which stood out for her in this offer:
🍎Niki is set to play the Wicked Queen for a second time in her panto career. Niki jokingly said that the Wicked Queen was more like herself, as she “enjoys playing the wicked horrible people”.
🍎Niki also said the she “loves Worthing”. So much so that she is looking at getting a flat here on the coast.
🍎The cast was another reason she chose to be involved. “They are all singers which is actually quite rare for a pantomime”. We asked whether there would be any competition between the cast, but Niki seemed adamant that there would be “no competition” while she was there.
We wish the cast and crew the best of luck for their take on this classic tale which Worthing Theatres are calling their “biggest and best” pantomime yet!
