Laughter, enthusiasm and huge support was felt at the launch of Refill Shoreham-By-Sea last night (Tuesday 19 March)!
Over 140 people attended the event at Ropetackle Arts Centre to enjoy a short film, sea shanties from Shoreham's Wellington Wailers (pictured) and talks by speakers from Water UK, Surfers Against Sewage and Friends of Shoreham Beach.
💧The Refill scheme sees local businesses, organisations and the Council coming together to offer free water refill stations on their premises – anyone will be able to come along and refill a water bottle for free.
Adur & Worthing Councils worked with community organisations to get the scheme up and running, first in Worthing and now in Shoreham. There are now more than 80 refill stations across the two areas joining them to a national network set up by City to Sea.
