In case you missed the news, Chatsmore Catholic High School has chosen us as their charity of the year, setting a fundraising target of £5,000.
The school has been getting up to a lot of exciting fundraising activities. Last Friday they held a sponsored ‘Sleep Out’ in conjunction with Turning Tides Ending Local Homelessness, spending the night outside to learn about the challenges of homelessness. The next day students and staff travelled to ASDA, Ferring, with tins, balloons, and buckets to spread the word and collect funds.
These activities will culminate in June with a team of ten students and six staff members taking on the ‘Welsh 3000s Challenge’ – a trek up at least nine of the 15 highest mountain peaks in Wales, each of them over 3,000 feet tall.
