For two weeks from this Monday the Skyway Gallery in Shoreham will be showing artwork and creative writing produced by children and adults as part of a ‘We Two’ intergenerational arts project.
Year 5 children from three local schools joined with a family member, neighbour or friend to produce work using the theme “Journeys”.
Organised by the new intergenerational arts organisation, ‘We Two’, and part of the Shoreham Wordfest, the project is also supported by Adur District Council.
Cllr Neil Parkin, Leader of Adur District Council, said: “We are delighted to support this project in the hope that working together creatively can unite the generations more.”
Workshops were run for the children and adults by Angela Edwards, Director of the Skyway Gallery and Richard Bingham, author and project coordinator, and the schools which took part were Eastbrook Primary, St. Nicolas and St. Mary’s Primary and North Lancing Primary.
The exhibition runs at The Skyway Gallery at the Shoreham Centre, Pond Road, until 8 July.
