Ever wondered who dealt with stray dogs? Or who bombed up and down the seafront on a quad bike keeping visitors to the beach safe?

Last week we launched five new bloggers to keep you updated on all things at Adur & Worthing Councils – We hope you are enjoying the insight to their stories and weekly updates!

Rob Dove (Fridays) spotted that one viewer commented on why our beach vehicles have blue lights when the team is not an emergency service.

Here’s Rob’s answer:

“Great question! Well, we are at a local level especially as we work on behalf and alongside other emergency services such as the Maritime coastguard agency, Solent Coastguard and local emergency services. We have orange patrol lights as standard but having the blue response lights enables us to inform people and get to the location of the incident safer and more efficiently.”
