Do you have a broken household item which you’d like to learn to fix?

Why not take it along to the first Adur Repair Cafe at the Shoreham Centre this Saturday, 11 May. Volunteers will be there from 1pm to 3pm to guide you through fixing things.

To guarantee a repair slot, book an appointment by emailing adurrepaircafe@gmail.com, describing your item and the repair you think it needs. You can also turn up on the day and try your luck.

The Repair Cafe is organised by Over the Moon, a local community arts organisation which hopes it will help curb the throwaway culture and also pass on repair skills.

There’s no charge, but donations are appreciated towards running costs and insurance. The repairers will do their best to help your repair your item, but can’t guarantee it will be possible.

Organisers Over the Moon also say pop along if you might be interested in volunteering. The Shoreham Centre cafe will also be open to the public for refreshments!
