Councillors in Worthing will vote tonight on plans to build up to 240 homes in West Durrington.
The proposals for the 10 hectare site to the south of Arundel Road in Worthing have been brought forward by West Durrington Northern Sector Consortium.
As well as the properties, plans include access roads; pedestrian and cycle routes; parking; park land; and sustainable drainage features, such as a pond.
If approved, up to 72 of the houses will be affordable housing, with 70 per cent of these being made available under affordable rent.
Access to the site would be from the south, where 700 new homes are under construction. To the north, a three-metre bund would be built to separate the development from the A27.
Worthing Borough Council’s planning meeting meets tonight in the Gordon Room in Worthing Town Hall from 6.30pm.
