30 knots of wind blew over 2 days for the Extreme Big Air competition where riders must show control and courage.
Thousands of spectators came to watch the world’s largest kiteboarding competition which was also live streamed to the whole world via RedBull TV.
Lewis said “It was a tough final day. I am a high wind specialist and these lighter wind events I find so much more challenging. You have to put more tactics into it and cannot express yourself as much. I live in Worthing, one of the windiest places of the UK, and I train there regularly in storm conditions and that’s what you hope for at these events!”
Lewis also extended a special thanks to South Downs Leisure & their Fit4 programme that supported his training so he could be in the best place possible!
