Adur & Worthing Councils today launch a new service to inform residents about the range of events and commemorations to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the World War One.
A special section of the Councils’ website has been devoted to all the stories that will be generated by the commemorations and listings for the events that will follow.
Community groups across Adur and Worthing are also encouraged to organise their own events and inform the Councils, so they all can be listed in one place.
A spokesman for the Councils said: “We are committed to helping ensure everyone gets a chance to recognise the sacrifices made by those who fought in all conflicts and particularly in this year World War One.”
“The people of Adur District and Worthing Borough have always greatly supported Remembrance and hopefully this new section on our website will help keep them informed as details for this year emerge.”
