Adur is 'Where the Wildflowers Grow'! 🌼🌸🌺
Bursts of colour are soon to arrive to parks across the district thanks to the Councils continued environmental scheme.
Sompting's Hamble Recreation Ground was one of several parks in the district to be treated to the wonderful wildflowers, which were sown through community planting events.
Wildflowers not only brighten our public spaces but are also warmly welcomed by the surrounding wildlife. Recent reports state that 40 percent of all insect species are in decline and could die out in the coming decades.
Conducting the plating at Hamble Rec was Adur District Council Parks Ranger Keith Walder.
"It's great for the biodiversity in the area", said Keith.
"Numbers of insects have declined over the years and it's great to help their population and bring bursts of colour to Adur."
