Acts of kindness go a long way in times of crisis.

This week, 10-year-old Ollie and his mum, Kim, surprised Don with a doorstop drop of goodies on his 89th birthday. Don, who is isolating at home on his own and really missing his visits to the Day Hospice says, “I was amazed when I opened the door and saw Ollie on my road. I’m so touched by the birthday card and gifts and can’t wait to get stuck into the cakes. I feel very lucky.”

As a thank you, Don gave Ollie a model aircraft which he'd hand painted during lockdown. Ollie is thrilled with the gift and has decided to display it with pride in his bedroom.
