Access to one of the oldest churches in Sussex has been improved thanks to Adur District Council.
The Grade I listed St Julian’s Church in Rectory Road, Shoreham has been hosting worshippers since the mid-11th Century.
While the church yard is now closed, there is still an active burial area to the north. To improve access, the Council has been creating a new path across the “worn grass” track from the parking area to the entrance way of the church.
Contractors began the £14,000 scheme at the start of this month and are due to finish in the coming days.
