Adur Sea of Lights
With over 2000 people walking in its parade, The Adur Sea of Lights is a spectacle to behold.
Following the success of last year’s Starlit Stories parade, this year’s carnival theme promises to be even bigger and better with feathers, lights and a giant lantern puppet of Mexico’s Frida Khalo.
From Spain to Brazil, the carnival theme invites participants to take inspiration from around the globe and make the streets of Lancing ping and sparkle.
One of Adur’s biggest winter events, the parade draws participation from most of the local schools.
Adur Sea of Lights also work with Northbrook MET, whose graphic design and illustration students are busy designing Carnival themed masks for you to download and create. These unique designs will be available to print on 10th November.
If you’d like to take part in some festival fun, pop along to a FREE, carnival themed lantern and headdress making session on Saturday the 25th of November – Details are available on their event page.
