Looking to get in the Christmas spirit? Then pop along to the home of Debbie and Mark Scott at 14 Windermere Crescent, Worthing, BN12 6JY to see their amazing Christmas light display. Debbie and Mark, along with Mark’s dad Bill, are raising money for Guild Care’s dementia services in memory of Winifred – Mark’s beloved mum and Bill’s wife – who passed away from a dementia-related illness.
The couple have been lighting their house for the last few years for their chosen charity and last year raised an incredible £1700, a target that they’re hoping to beat this year!
The display had its official switch on Saturday 25th with the Mayor and Mayoress of Worthing and Town Crier Bob Smytherman in attendance for the big display.
The lights will be switched on from 4pm-10pm every day and there will also be a Santa’s letterbox so ensure you include your address because Santa will write back (please make sure your letter arrives with Santa before midnight on Sunday 17th December).
There will be a collection bucket outside the garden for the public to donate as they admire the vibrant lights and there is also a donate page online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/dementia2017
