Public footpaths on Shoreham Beach are set to shut for six months as part of ongoing work on the Adur Tidal Walls flood defence scheme.

West Sussex County Council will shortly make a temporary Traffic Regulation Order covering two pathways in the area.

These are path along the River Adur, from its junction with Harbour Way (near Quay Court) westwards for 66 metres; and the pathway near the Harbour Club northwards for a distance of 42 metres.

The order is expected to come into effect on TODAY (23 October 2017) and remain in force for six months.
