Paul Davies and son Matt have raised an incredible £1191.41 for Guild Care by taking part in the Great North Run in Newcastle back in September. Paul’s Mum Nancy who had dementia, was a resident at Haviland House until she sadly passed away aged 90 earlier this year. He said, “We will always be grateful to all the staff at Haviland for looking after Mum so well and allowing her to enjoy the closing chapter of her long and enjoyable life.”
The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world and had over 50,000 entrants this year. Paul said, “It was great to run with Matt all that way, I don’t think either of us were easing up at any time, it was just the way the run went, and we could enjoy the sights of the runners and supporters along the way together.”
We would like to say a massive thank you to Paul and Matt for their tremendous support of Guild Care and for the vital funds they have raised for our organisation!
