Big thanks to Sight Support Worthing RNIB The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK) 4Sight Vision Support and local businesses such as the burger and brownie Co Stagecoach South for supporting the Swap With Me event in Warwick Street, Worthing today.

The aim was to raise awareness of how difficult it can be for those people with limited visibility to get from A to B.

It comes as Worthing Borough Council introduced a street licensing scheme in the area, which meant local businesses were asked to apply for a licence to place items like A-Boards and outdoor seating in the public highway.

After all but three businesses in Warwick Street signed up to the self-funding scheme, access to the pedestrianised street has been dramatically improved.
