Mayor of Worthing Cllr Alex Harman wants to thank the thousands of people who helped mark the Remembrance events across the town in recent days.
The streets around the town hall were packed on Sunday as people from across the Borough turned out to mark the contribution of armed service personnel past and present.
It culminated in a service and march past after a two-minutes silence at 11am.
Speaking after the event, Cllr Harman said: “It was a fantastic service and underlined by amazing turnout by members of the public so a massive thanks should go to them.
“A few people said it was the biggest turnout in a long time and I was delighted to see so many people come together to remember those who did not come back from conflicts across the globe.
“These parades would happen with councillors and veterans regardless but to stand together as a town makes it even more special.
“It’s something I’m proud to say we do extremely well in Worthing.”
