It may have been a terrible winter, but spring is finally here…
The change of fortune in weather means that our Parks team can finally get cracking on with preparing the bowling greens at Beach House Park in Worthing for the new season.
With the first matches planned for two weeks time, the Councils’ green fingered experts are hard at work making sure the town’s bowlers can play on the best possible surface come game day.
Chris Vickery, who works in the Parks team at Adur & Worthing Councils, said: “The very white and wet winter has made our preparation for the new season difficult.
“We have been rolling the surface, laying down grass seed and applying fertiliser to the sports green; with the aim of having the the lawns back up to their usual standards in the very near future.”
