Walking Football is available under the Get Active programme that is run by Adur & Worthing Wellbeing.
Walking Football is a version of the game to encourage senior players to get back involved in the sport. As the name suggests, the player movement is slowed down; but the tempo of the game remains.
The fun sessions are coached by fitness instructors to alter the level and speed of the game depending on the abilities of the group.
There have been many positive reviews about the sessions. With all involved saying that it has improved their fitness; but it had also introduced them to some new friends.
The sessions are part of the £10 Challenge; a system where you deposit £10 to take part, if you attend 6 or more sessions out of 8 you get your deposit back. The other available courses are:

– Couch To 5K
– 3 Step Gym
– Multi Activity Course
