A PUBLIC NOTICE| UPDATE FROM THE BEACH OFFICE
Following a suspected ordnance washing up on the foreshore near to the Canadian War Memorial yesterday,the Bomb Disposal Unit have carried out an initial inspection but this was inconclusive.
They will be returning again today to carry out a further inspection once the tide is out.
Until the unidentified object is deemed safe, the Coastguard agency and the Beach Office will maintain the 100-metre public exclusion zone.
We ask that you respect the exclusion zone until the inspection is complete and the authorities have deemed it safe for the public to re-enter.
